A total of 128 teams from seven assembly constituencies including Diamond Harbour, Phalta, Bishnupur, Baj Baj, Maheshtala, Satgachia, Metiaburoj participated in this competition. Diamond Harbor football team and Falta football team participated in the opening match. Diamond Harbor football team is captained by Babul Supriya who joined Trinamool Congress while Phalta team is captained by State Sports Minister Manoj Tewari. A separate stage is specially made next to the event stage. Bollywood’s famous singer Mika Singh performed music there on this day.
Prizes will be given to the first, second and third place winners in this football tournament. There is also a special reward system for good play. This competition will continue till January 1.
