Somraj Banerjee, Kolkata: The interview for the recruitment of primary teachers will be held in Kolkata, not district by district. The Primary Education Board has made important changes in the Primary Education Board’s teacher recruitment interviews. Until now the interview process for recruitment of primary teachers was conducted in the offices of Zilla Vidyalaya Primary Teachers Sangsad of various districts. But from this time, the primary education board changed that rule. Interviews will be conducted at multiple tables in Kolkata.

Several complaints have been raised in the recent past regarding interviewing at DPSC offices in various districts. Board officials claim that important steps have been taken by the board to bring transparency in the recruitment process. In the notification issued on Wednesday, the board said that the interview will be held centrally in Kolkata.

On the other hand, the board is starting the interview process for the appointment of primary teachers from the last week of December. The board is going to conduct the interview in the first stage on December 27. On that day, the board will interview more than 200 job candidates. A notification in this regard was given by the Board of Primary Education on Wednesday. According to the board, more than 40,000 applications have been submitted in the notification for the recruitment of primary teachers. 2012-2014-2017 TET pass out can apply for this recruitment. Their first stage interview is starting. Council president Gautam Pal had already informed that an attempt will be made to start the interview process from December. Accordingly, the board gave good news at the end of the year.

The officials of the board claim that it is possible to take the interview process of the applicants within a month. However, after December 27, when the interview date will be given again will be informed by the board later. However, according to the board, multiple days will be set for interviews in January. However, according to the Board sources, there is no possibility of conducting an interview in the month of December. Gautam Pal, the president of the Primary Education Board, said earlier that the board wants to appoint primary teachers twice a year. Besides, TET passers of 2014-2017 are continuing their protest movement demanding recruitment. Although this protest is demanding to give priority to their appointment.

In the notification issued on Wednesday, a detailed list of documents to be brought while appearing for the interview has been given. Besides, the interview process will be conducted centrally in Kolkata. That means interview process is not going on in DPSC offices of different districts from now on. Board sources also informed that multiple tables are being made to conduct the interview process. The Primary Education Board has also started the recruitment process for primary teachers.
