Services have changes in schedule at the end of the year – 12/23/2022 – Daily life


With the proximity of Natal It’s from New Year, people from São Paulo need to pay attention to the opening hours of public and private services in the city. The services of the Municipality of Sao Paulofor example, will have different opening hours for the population on the 24th, 25th and 31st of December and on the 1st of January.

In addition, the rotation of vehicles will be suspended from Monday (26) and will be in effect again on January 9.

Check out how the services will work:

HEALTH

On Saturday (24), equipment such as AMAs and Integrated AMAs/UBSs will operate normally from 7am to 7pm —including vaccination campaigns against Covid-19, polio e multivaccination.

On Sunday (25), normal attendance at urgent and emergency services and Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service).

SUBWAY

At Christmas, the lines managed by Metrô de São Paulo (1-blue, 2-green, 3-red and 15-silver) will operate with normal hours and will have reserve trains and demand monitoring to better serve passengers.

On December 31, due to the New Year’s Eve party on Avenida Paulista, access to Consolação station (line 2-green) will be closed at 4 pm, but the transfer between Consolação and Paulista stations will take place normally. Paraíso, Brigadeiro, Trianon-Masp stations will remain open throughout the night, and other stations on lines 1-blue, 2-green, 3-red and 15-silver will be open for boarding and disembarking until 2:00 am —after that time, only for disembarkation.

On January 1, 2023, stations will open normally from 4:40 am.

ViaQuatro and ViaMobilidade: On New Year’s Eve, to serve passengers during the New Year’s Eve party on Avenida Paulista, the Paulista and Higienópolis-Mackenzie stations will be open 24 hours a day for boarding and disembarking. The other stations on line 4-yellow will remain open for boarding and disembarking until 2:00 am —after that time, only for disembarking. The same will happen with the stations of the 5-lilac line.

Lines 8 and 9 will operate 24 hours a day for boarding and disembarking only at the transfer stations (Pinheiros, Santo Amaro and Barra Funda). The other stations will only serve disembarkation after 2:00 am

BUSES

On the 24th, 25th, 31st of December and 1st of January, service at the points of sale in bus terminals and Expresso Tiradentes will be from 6am to 7pm. The Jabaquara, Santana and Posto Central da SPTrans, which do not work on Saturdays and Sundays, will be closed and will return to normal service on Mondays (26 December and 2 January). From the 26th to the 30th, service will be normal at all posts and stores.

The intercity lines managed by the EMTU in the five metropolitan regions of the state will also operate normally at Christmas (24th and 25th). In the New Year (Saturday the 31st and Sunday the 1st of January) the fleet schedule will be equivalent to that of a Sunday. Passenger demand will be monitored so that, if necessary, corrections can be made to the offer of trips.

CPTM

The movement of trains on the lines of CPTM will have normal operation at the end of the year.

FAIRS, MARKETS AND SACOLONS

Almost all municipal markets and grocery stores will operate normally on the eve of commemorative dates. Some units, however, will have reduced hours, such as Sacolão João Moura and the Pinheiros and Guaianases markets, which close at 2 pm and 3 pm, respectively.

On December 25th and January 1st, markets and grocery stores will be closed. The following units will also not open on January 2: markets in Guaianases, Lapa, Penha, Pinheiros, Sapopemba and Vila Formosa and Sacolão São Miguel.

Free fairs will not work on December 25th and January 1st.

MUNICIPAL PARKS

On December 24th and 31st, municipal parks will close three hours earlier than their regular opening hours. On Christmas Day and the first day of 2023, they will open three hours later.

The exception is the Ibirapuera parkwhich is under concession and will have its own opening hours: on December 24th and 31st, it will open from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on December 25th and January 1st, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Parks that do not open on Mondays, such as Jardim da Luz, Casa Modernista and Guarapiranga, will remain closed on December 26th and January 2nd.

GOOD PLATE

The units of Good plate in Bauru, Campinas, Carapicuíba, Franca, Rio Claro, São José dos Campos, Santos I, Taubaté, Brás, 25 de Março, Campos Elíseos, Lapa, Guaianases and São Mateus will only serve lunch in lunch boxes on December 24 and 31 —these units are open on Saturdays throughout the year.

On Christmas and New Year’s Day, the 25 de Março and Brás units will be open, offering packed lunches.

SHOPPINGS

Bourbon
On the 24th and 31st of December, from 10 am to 6 pm. On December 25th and January 1st, the operation of the stores and food court is optional.

North Center
On the 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm; and on the 31st, from 10 am to 4 pm. On the 25th and 1st, the operation of the stores and food court will be optional. Between the 26th and 30th of December, the stores will be open at normal hours, from 10 am to 10 pm.

Eldorado
On the 24th, from 10 am to 5 pm; and on the 31st, from 10 am to 4 pm. On December 25th and January 1st, the opening is optional. Between the 26th and 30th of December, the stores operate at normal hours, from 10 am to 10 pm.

Golden Square Shopping
On December 24, from 10 am to 6 pm; and on the 31st, from 10 am to 4 pm. The operation on the 25th and 1st is optional.

south garden
On the 24th of December, the stores are open from 9am to 6pm and, on the 31st, from 10am to 4pm. The operation on the 25th and 1st is optional. On Christmas Eve (24), the hours are from 9 am to 6 pm, and on New Year’s Eve, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Market Place
On the 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm; and on the 31st, from 10 am to 4 pm. On the 25th and 1st, stores and the food court have optional service. Between the 26th and the 30th, the hours are normal, from 10am to 10pm.

Itaquera Subway
This Friday (23), from 10 am to midnight; and on the 24th, from 9am to 6pm. On the 31st, from 10 am to 6 pm. On the 25th and 1st, attendance is optional.

Mooca Plaza Shopping
This Friday (23), from 10 am to midnight; and on the 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm. On December 25th, stores will be closed, and the opening of the food court is optional. Between December 26th and 30th, normal hours, from 10 am to 10 pm.

Patio Paulista
On the 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm; and on the 25th, optional for shops and food. From the 26th to the 30th of December, normal hours, from 10 am to 10 pm. On the 31st, it will open from 10 am to 4 pm; on the 1st, optional for shops and food.

Villalobos
On December 24th, from 10 am to 6 pm; and on the 31st, from 10 am to 4 pm. On Christmas and New Year’s Day, opening is optional.
