Dhaka: KL Rahul-led Indian team beat Bangladesh by three wickets to win the Test series 2-0. However, the team of Opar Bengal continued to fight till the end of the second test organized in Mirpur. However, the Indian team won the match (IND vs BAN 2nd Test) and the series based on the unbeaten partnership of 71 runs by Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer. Despite the series loss, Bangladesh Test captain Shakib Al Hasan is happy with the team’s performance against Team India.

A thrilling fourth day of the second Test. Chasing 145 runs, Shakib and Mehdi Hasan lost seven wickets for 74 runs at one point thanks to Miraj’s fast bowling Indian team. However, India won the match with Ashwin-Shreyas’ counter-aggressive batting. Shakib feels that if Bangladesh could have broken this partnership, the result of the match could have been different. After the match Bangladesh captain said, ‘We always play well in this field. But Ashwin and Shreyas played well under pressure. We needed another wicket. India’s score at the end of the third day’s play was 45 runs for four wickets. Big Kohli (1), KL Rahul (2), Cheteshwar Pujara (6) failed completely with the bat. Akshar Patel and night watchman Jaydev Unadkat were at the crease for India. Bangladesh vice-captain Liton Das made it clear at the end of the day’s play that it is not at all difficult for Bangladesh to win the match if they can pick up quick wickets on the morning of the fourth day. The team from Opar Bengal also succeeded in their goals. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan gave the first blow to India by returning Unadkat to 13 runs.
Mehdi Hasan Miraj had the biggest role behind defeating India in the ODI series. He once again gave Bangladesh a great chance to win the match. Miraj sent Rishabh Pant (9) and Set Akshar (34) back to Sajghar in two consecutive overs. Team India lost seven wickets for 74 runs. This is the time to take the lead of the innings Shreyas Iyer also Ashwin.
