Islam Abad: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Pervaiz Elahi will not be the Chief Minister after four o’clock.
In one of his statements, the federal minister said that Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman will issue a new notification after four o’clock in the evening and after the new notification Parvez Elahi will no longer be the chief minister.
Rana Sanaullah said that the governor of Punjab can ask the prime minister to impose governor’s rule in the province. I will ask the bureaucracy to follow the constitution and the law.
The Interior Minister said regarding the Chief Ministership of Punjab that after the departure of Parvez Elahi, our Chief Minister will be Hamza Shehbaz. Regarding the alleged audios of Chairman PTI, Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan’s audio is real, his videos are also there.
Rana Sanaullah further said that Tehreek-e-Insaaf cannot resist the constitution no matter what. It is written in the constitution that if the Chief Minister does not take the vote of confidence, he will not remain the Chief Minister. It is the will of the governor to ask for a vote of confidence whenever. We know they don’t have full marks, if they do, take a vote of confidence.
He further said that Hamza Shehbaz is the unanimous candidate for Chief Minister. I am not aware that there are any talks with Chief Minister Pervez Elahi. If it is confirmed that they are not taking the vote of confidence, the Governor of Punjab will issue a new notification after 4 pm.
If there is an unconstitutional move, the government can impose governor’s rule
The Home Minister said that if they take unconstitutional measures, the government can impose governor’s rule. Elections would have happened only if the assemblies were dissolved, now they are running away from dissolving the assembly of KPK. If the Governor’s rule is imposed, his term will be for 6 months.
Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan is working on an anti-national agenda. Imran Khan and his workers have reached the ultimate limit of delusion. They have been crying for dissolution of the assemblies for a month, in this situation the governor has the right to exercise his authority. Imran Khan’s main agenda is to bankrupt the country.
He said that apart from Imran Khan’s establishment, the judiciary, politicians and the nation want stability in the country. Imran Khan is not going to get any relief from the court. They have no choice but to take a vote of confidence.
Contact between Asif Zardari and Prime Minister
Earlier, former President Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister were in contact, in which they consulted on matters related to the vote of confidence in Punjab and the motion of no confidence against Parvez Elahi.
According to party sources, the leaders of both the parties have been instructed to consult with the governor of Punjab on the instructions of the leadership of PP and PML-N.
Consultation continues in Governor House Punjab
On the other hand, a consultative meeting is going on in the governor’s house on the matter of taking the vote of confidence of the Chief Minister of Punjab, in which the legal aspects are being considered. According to the sources, the opposition has not reached any decision yet. Sources say that the opposition has decided not to go to the Punjab Assembly today, however, consultations are ongoing on imposing governor rule in the province or writing a letter to the chief minister again.
According to the sources of Governor House Punjab, Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman has rejected the letter of Speaker Punjab Assembly, after which the Governor Secretariat is likely to issue another order soon. A vote will be ordered.
